This home located at 293 Central Street in Milford was truly one of the best values in town! The buyer got a heck of a property and with a few updates will have themselves quite a long term investment. When looking around the area you would be hard pressed to find a four bedroom, 2.5 bath colonial of this size with a 2 car attached garage anywhere in Milford or surrounding towns for that matter.

Finding homes like this in the Milford Real Estate market is not easy. The buyer certainly recognized he had an excellent opportunity with this home. One of my favorite features and surely in the buyer's mind as well, was the spacious family room that was located directly off the kitchen. Every now and then a property comes along that says WOW! You know right when you put the property on the market that there will be a lot of buyer interest. This home at 12 Bigelow Way, Grafton, happened to be such a property. The home was located at the end of a cul-de-sac with a convenient location right off of Milford Road near the Upton town line.

Located at the very end of a thirteen lot neighborhood, this Pulte home had all the traits today's home buyer's look for in a luxury residence. As you entered through the front entry you were able to immediately see the level of detail the home possessed. Both the dining room and living room flanked the entry way.

Both rooms were very well done and appointed with amenities you would expect to find including hardwood floors, crown moldings, wainscoting and decorative columns. The living room also featured a walk-out bay which is not only a nice design element but also flooded the room with loads of sunlight.

My favorite area of this magnificent home was the kitchen/family room which encompassed a large percentage of the back of the property. The family room was a dramatic two stories with a balcony overlook above, as well as a gas fireplace. Adding interest and a touch of pizazz to the room were decorative niches on both sides of the fireplace.

The kitchen was very nice with classic white cabinetry adorned with nickel accent handles, a center island, granite counter tops, a walk-in pantry and sliders to a two tier deck. There was certainly not a lack of natural light and the sliders provided an excellent view out to the backyard and beautiful gardens. The kitchen also featured marvelous sunsets during Winter and Spring.

For those that work out of the home there was a first floor study that also has a walk-out bay window. There was plenty of space for two desks and a wall that could accommodate a large book shelf area should you need it. The room was also set up for high speed cable, phone and fax. Lastly the first floor had access to a powder room off the kitchen and family room.

The second floor was no less inviting than the first including four spacious bedrooms. The master suite was fantastid with its large bedroom area that had cathedral ceilings and a bank of windows that bring nature right into the room. The closet and bath were both exceptional. There was a double vanity with solid tops, a soaking tub, separate shower and tile flooring. The commode was separated from the rest of the room for maximum privacy.

Even the secondary bedrooms had great closet space with two of them providing walk-ins along with California closets. A second floor laundry provided excellent convenience.

What really put the finishing touches on this home though wa the gorgeous walk-out lower level. The feeling in this area was no different than what you would find upstairs with full sunlight through windows and a slider.  A large game room as well as an over-sized 5th bedroom were provided in this space. If you have weekend guests or even need a home with space for an in-law this was perfect as there is a full bath. There was also ample space for storage with an unfinished room for that purpose.

Additional features of 12 Bigelow Way included economical gas heat that comes with a humidifier and filtration system built right in, central air, central vac, a sprinkler system, brick walk way, and town water and sewer. In total there were 11 rooms, 4-5 bedrooms, and 3.5 baths. The total gross living area including the lower level was about 3241 square feet. There was a two car attached garage and the lot was 1.1 acres.

There is no doubt this is a place you would be proud to call HOME!

One of the more popular neighborhoods in Hopkinton is Charlesview Estates were this home at 11 Nicholas Road happened to be located. As soon as I put the home on the market I knew it wouldn't take long before there would be a sold sign in the front lawn. The marketing on the home generated a large amount of activity right out of the gate and the home was sold in the 1st week it was listed! Given the home was in outstanding shape and located in a popular Hopkinton neighborhood I knew a buyer would come along quickly and fall in love. Charlesview Estates happens to be the first really large neigborhood ever built in Hopkinton and today remains a highly desirable destination for those moving into town!

What was easy to like about this Gambrel Cape is that the owner poured their heart and sole into renovating the place. When you walked through the front door you certainly did not feel like you were in a 1970's Cape. Not only was the home renovated but the seller made an incredible improvement by opening up the first floor living space by removing the wall between the kitchen and family room. This design modification completely changed the appearance of the first floor and gave the home a more modern feel of today's popular layouts.

First and foremost the kitchen in this Charlesview cape was just stunning! The cabinets were a beautiful Cherry and looked like fine furniture. The cabinetry was appointed with granite counters and stainless steel appliances. There was also a nice center island that was perfect for a preparation area and plenty big enough for a few bar stools. A set of newer sliders took you out to a private deck and let in a tremendous amount of sunlight.

Directly adjoining the kitchen was a front to back family room that was an exceptional space. A beautiful new gas fireplace with custom woodworking and mantel were proudly on display. Also off the kitchen was a formal dining room with a set of French doors that led you in from the foyer. The dining area was plenty big enough for family gatherings around the holidays.

One of my favorite features of 11 Nicholas happened the Cherry flooring that the seller added throughout most of the entire first floor. The flooring was simply gorgeous and created a sense of warmth in all the rooms. There was also a powder room and laundry area that had been renovated and was located conveniently off the kitchen. The powder room featured a new white vanity along with black marble tops and attractive tile floors.

The second floor consisted of four decent size bedrooms with neutral Berber carpeting. The master had a private bath with newer tile flooring and a five foot tub/shower combination. The main bath that serviced the family bedrooms had also been updated and had clean fresh lines.

Lastly t lower level was finished and added excellent "flex" space to the home. The owners used it as a play room for the kids but could easily become an in home office or exercise area as well.

Additional features of this Hopkinton home included newer windows, security system, a deck and patio area as well as a large lot that is both level and usable.

In total there were 8 rooms, 4 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The total gross living area was 2463 with the finished lower level space. There was a two car attached garage. The lot was 1.42 acres which is hard to find in a neighborhood setting. The taxes on this Charlesview home were $7291.00 in 2011. The buyer's of this home certainly have themselves a great long term investment.
