Top 100 Real Estate Professionals Using Social Media
I was thrilled to find out that I have been included in the top 100 Real Estate professionals online according to Klout, the social media giant that measures online influence. For those that are not familiar with Klout here is what they do:
Klout uses more than 400 social signals across 8 networks to arrive at a score that reflects your "online klout". The bulk of the signals are generated from a combination of attributes such as the reactions you generate compared to the number of times you post something. Using Twitter as an example, if you generate 100 re-tweets from 10 tweets that will generate a better score than generating 100 re-tweets from 1000 tweets.
While I am active on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin there is no question that my favorite social media network is Google Plus. If you are in the real estate industry and are reading this blog and not using Google Plus you are really missing the boat!
There is not a more powerful social media network for your business than Google Plus. Why you ask? The reason is simple Google Plus is not just a social media platform but a tool that has powerful SEO benefits. For an in depth explanation on this see Google Plus for Real Estate where you will find a brilliantly written article that describes all the benefits of why a Realtor should be using this platform as part of their daily routine. Another well written Google Plus for Real Estate article is how Google Plus Can Help The Real Estate industry. Neither of these articles are written by me but experts in the world of SEO and social media who I have happened to connect with on Google Plus. Connecting with well respected folks online has it's benefits for sure:)
I can tell you from first hand experience using the site daily, there is nothing that I enjoy more for learning about real estate, social media and SEO. In fact the excitement that I get from visiting Google Plus is similar to what it was like when I joined Active Rain many years ago. The one difference however is that Google Plus is not just Real Estate focused. You can learn things everyday when logging in from master minds in every subject imaginable.
If you follow the right people you can make amazing strides with increasing your business as people share freely their best business tips much like Active Rain. In fact, I was the first person to create a Google Plus Real Estate Community when Google+ first created communities. I would love it for you to come and join. Everyday some of the best blog posts from around the country are shared with the group. This is a great way to get exposure for your site!
On my personal profile Bill Gassett Google Plus, I share some of my own real estate articles, along with exceptional content I find from other people all over the net. These posts typically consist of how to become more visible online whether it is from an SEO or social media tip.
