Dealers Carpet Outlet is a locally owned and operating flooring business located at 78 Union Street (Rte 135) Ashland Massachusetts adjacent to The Cherry Blossom Restaurant. The owner is Craig Bogardus.

Dealers Carpet Outlet store hours of operation are Monday - Friday 8 a.m - 4:30 p.m and Saturday from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Additional Hours are available by appointment. The phone # is 508-881-5700.

Hardwood Refinishing - All of Carpet Dealers refinishing is done with Boni Kemi dustless refinishing system. Using this specialized equipment hardwood floors can be sanded without releasing the mess and toxic elements associated with conventional refinishing methods. Additionally, the finish used to coat the floor is extremely low in volatile organic compounds (VOC) and has received the Greengaurd label meaning it is a green product. EDealers carpet is the only company offering "dustless floor refinishing". 

 

Laminate- Brands include Faus, Pergo, Mohawk, Shaw, and more.

Marathon Deli located at 250 West Street (Rte 135), Ashland Massachusetts is a terrific local sandwich shop on the Hopkinton/Ashland town line.

Marathon Deli is owned by Doug Fifield and Jim Johnston, who established the business in 1997. They are currently celebrating their ten year anniversary in business.

Although it doesn't look pretty this is an outstanding place to get a great sandwich or wrap! I happen to be a regular customer and frequent Marathon Deli at least a few times a week.

 The atmosphere is extremely social. Doug and Jim really make you feel welcome. One of the great things about this place is that after only a few trips in Doug will have your favorite wrap memorized. I am amazed at how he keeps track of everyone. This place draws a crowd in the warmer months and most of the time the picnic tables are filled.

 

There are many "regulars" at Marathon Deli - A testimonial in itself that these guys make sandwiches worth coming back for.

The theme of the interior is sports related as both Doug and Jim are big local sports fans. Often times you will hear Jimmy talking back in the work area of the last bet he won. Jimmy has never lost a bet...just ask him :). Jim Corsi, a former Red Sox picture will drop into Marathon Deli every now and then. His picture can be seen on the wall with other sports memorabilia.

The black board menu is filled with some pretty memorable names such as The Soprano Wrap, The big Bird, The Raging Bull, Bucking Bronco, Road Runner, and Boss Hog. There are over 40 types of wraps on the menu.

 

 

Marathon Deli also offers some tasty hot meals as well. There are different home cooked meals served each day of the week. If you have catering needs with an Italian flavor be sure to give Marathon a try as they do an excellent job with this as well.

 My two favorite sandwiches are the Greek and Thai wrap. They are both out of this world!

                               Pub/Restaurant Profile of Stones Public House, Ashland, MA 01721

 

Stones Public House formerly know as John Stone's Inn is located in the center of Ashland Massachusetts at 179 Main Street. The pub/restaurant sits next to the "T" commuter rail that heads to Boston. This famous Ashland landmark was built in 1832. It was built by John Stone who called the business the Railroad House. The pub was originally open by Stone as a hotel when he heard that the railroad would be passing through the center of town.

This old style Irish pub has a terrific atmosphere. The interior has classic New England charm. There is a massive brick fireplace for cold winter evenings, large wood beams, and stately built-in book cases. You will find candle lit tables that gives you a cozy warm feeling.  The exterior is complimented by a large sprawling porch and a tucked away patio area.

John Stone's Inn has quite a bit of history. The restaurant is believed to be haunted! You can read the whole story here for "Captain John Stones Haunted Inn". According to the stories this famous Ashland MA restaurant has a "super natural" past. If you enjoy ghost stories you will love this article.

The man who is considered to have turned this pub/restaurant to it's former glory was Leonard "Cappy" Fournier who purchased the building in 1976. Stones Public House has changed hands a few times since then. Fournier is also credited with digging up the storied haunted past.

The Menu at Stone's is filled with modern Irish cuisine and an ample selection of beer. My favorite item on the menu has to be the seared mustard crusted salmon with spinach, bacon, and roasted potatoes. Can you say delicious! Lastly, Stones Public House is home to weekly entertainment with some excellent local Blues bands. If you are looking for a relaxed atmosphere be sure to check out this place out. You won't be disappointed!  Sunday evenings are dedicated as open mike nights where you can see an interesting combination of local talent.

Of course during the warmer months Stone's patio is an excellent spot to relax and have a drink!
