I just completed the sale of this home on Highland Street in Holliston for Rinaldi Inc. The interior of this home was just stunning. Having worked as a Realtor for numerous builders over the years, along with building two homes of my own, I know when I see quality work! Raz and his wife Rosanna do a fantastic job. The pride in their work is apparent throughout this home. From the exterior curb appeal to the handsome interior craftsmanship this home stood out.

The floor plan of this property was not your typical cookie cutter New England colonial. The architect was Frank Betz a well know home design specialist from Atlanta. The word I would use to characterize all of Betz plans is dramatic and open.

Upon entering this home you do not see the traditional center entrance staircase, as it is tucked away out of direct viewing. A sense a spaciousness is the 1st thought that comes to mind as the entry is two story along with a family room that is the center piece of this home. There is an abundance of glass along with a gas fireplace. Directly adjoining the family room is a breathtaking painted kitchen with granite counters and stainless appliances. These two rooms above are certainly what sold this Holliston home.

A formal dining room and study/living room completed the 1st floor. Two things that really stood out for me where the "wide" hardwood floors throughout the 1st floor and all the natural light.

The second floor was just as nice and had a terrific layout. One of the secondary bedrooms had it's own private bath and the other two bedrooms shared a "Jack and Jill" bath. The master suite was exceptional. The bedroom proper had great details including a trey ceiling along with a sitting area that had an interesting walk-out bay. The master bath was to die for with an enormous custom tile shower along with a separate whirlpool tub. There were also his and her Cherry vanities with granite tops and a walk-in closet fit for a king.

The lower level was a full walk-out with windows and a door. This area could easily be finished and would add some excellent "flex" space.

This well built new construction had 4 bedrooms, 3.5 full baths and a 3 car garage. There was 3100 square feet in total living space. The lot was 2.16 acres and very usable.

The biggest challenge with this home was being located on Highland Street which receives a fair amount of traffic. Of course if this home was in a neighborhood setting it would have sold for a lot more money.

The new owners have a heck of a home. I hope they appreciate the craftsmanship.

The Average list price for the homes that closed in Holliston for June of 2009 was $413,959

The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Holliston for June of 2008 was $396,369

The Average sale price for the homes that closed in Holliston for June of 2009 was $400,313

The Average Market time for the homes that closed in Holliston in June of 2008 was 93 days.
