Bill it is that time again when you provide your marketplace with a comphrensive report. It is great to see sales are on the increase.
Bill:
I think this market took a major dip. I hope it sees some support here.
Richard
Richard - The sales figures in Hopkinton were actually pretty good this month. I know you are probably looking at the average sales prices but this is not a good indicator as a couple of sales can throw off the market. Hopkinton is doing well as compared to 2008.
Interesting data, Bill, and somewhat encouraging. Any idea why the difference as compared to other towns? I know Hopkiinton has great schools, for one but curious.
Jeff
Jeff ~ There are a number of reasons that make Hopkinton a destination town. As you mention the schools are fantastic. The other highlights are the proximity to major highways. Hopkinton is at the cross roads of New England (495 & Mass Pike). The housing stock is Hopkinton is great as there are more newer neighborhoods that have been built in the last ten years. In fact Hopkinton made Money Magazine best places to live in 2009.
Bill - Good stats. Looks like a leveling off, or the "dip is not as steep", with your market time and unt stats.
