Hmmmm! Interesting stats!: The Average Market time for the homes that closed in September of 2010 was 59 days.The Average Market time for the homes that closed in September of 2011 was 254 days. Still, prices seem to be holding, right?
Jane Ann what you have to remember is this is one month of statistics and just for the properties that closed. In other words these are the stats on the 9 homes that closed. Prices have been on a slight decline - we have not hit bottom yet.

Days on the market really increased, but I don't see a big decline in price. Your market seems to be selling, but taking a lot longer.

Bill, no, I see you have not hit bottom in Ashland, MA. However... I always like to see more home sales in the area here, not less. I don't know about your market when you look month to month, I do a graph for mine. When you look at the number of sales per month for a 12 month period it looks like an ekg print out of someone having a heart attack. Up down up down up down.
