In comparing year over year longer term data for Milford Massachusetts, it appears that there has been a trend towards somewhat of a stabilization of market values. The number of home sales dropped in 2010 as compared to 2009 but the days on market were down substantially. The upper end of the market remained weak but the 1st time buyer market flourished in Milford.
Milford has become quite attractive to the 1st time home buyers segment due to a large stock of inventory in the lower price points.

Bill, Sounds like homes were on the market longer in 2011 than in 2010 and sale prices were lower as well.. I hope things will improve in 2012.
Less than six months on the market is what I would expect and that you point out. Winter must add to the marketing time a tad but real estate sells year round in the Northeast right Bill? Don't let a little snow dusting take the wind out of your marketing sails. Bundle up, dig in, list and sell, twist and shout after every trip to the long real estate conference table. hooo-RAHHHHHHH.
Bill: A little dip across the board in Milford this year...all the more incentive to find buyers homes in this area in 2012.
Thanks guys for your comments on my Milford Real Estate report!
I'm sure these market trends can be predicted but only to a point, what kind of marketing do you do so that you say above the market's twists and turns?

Bill looks like Milford and Ashland had a good month in sales. It would be good to see all the towns have increases in sales like that.
Looks like things were popping in Milford!
